I established the Gouldin Law Office in 1998 in Oneonta, New York. It was my desire to create a law firm dedicated to providing exceptional service for the legal needs of all of my clients.
I was admitted as an attorney in the State of New York by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Third Judicial Department, in 1996. I started my professional career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Patrick D. Monserrate, a New York State Supreme Court Justice in Binghamton, New York. Upon completion of my clerkship for Judge Monserrate, I worked as a lawyer for several small law firms in the Southern Tier, gaining invaluable experience intended to permit me to establish my own firm. I have been actively involved in the private practice of criminal and civil matters since 1996. My practice has concentrated in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation, Matrimonial Law (i.e. Divorce, Custody and Child Support), Real Estate and Business Transactions, Wills and Estate Planning, Vehicle Traffic Matters (i.e. Traffic Tickets and Drunk Driving) and Criminal Defense Litigation. In addition to my private practice, I have been an Assistant Public Defender for the County of Otsego since 1998, handling criminal matters in both the local and county courts ranging from minor violations to major murder cases.
My secretaries, Marissa Rose and Jane Sweet, and I are dedicated to providing personal service and optimum results for all my clients’ legal and non-legal matters. To assist us in achieving this objective, we spend numerous hours each year in training and education courses so that we can better serve you, our client. Many of our satisfied clients have commented on the fact that they actually enjoyed working with our office. Please give us the opportunity to meet or exceed your expectations. You are welcome to call if you have a question that you believe we could assist with, and in many instances, the phone call and the advice will be free.
